The Coromandel Penninsula

Had an amazing roadtrip camper-van style with two friends, Claudia and Nicola, to the gorgeous Coromandel Penninsula. This "land of milk and honey" consisted of rolling emerald hills dotted with cows, bee boxes, and kiwi-fruit vineyards, in addition to beautiful beaches and clear turquoise waters sprinkled with jagged islands... incredible!!
Claudia on our morning hike through rural green nothing-ness..

The sunrise over Fletcher's Bay.. yes, sunrise.. :)

Nicola, Claudia and Albert the van. :)

One of the many quirky shops along the way..a buddist thrift store which had a sign offering 'free hugs'..good times.

Kiwi-fruit!

Cathedral Cove

We treked through the bush to the famous white sands of Cathedral Cove on the Coromandel penninsula.. crystal clear waters, stone arches and caves made the sunny day perfect!

A rainy day..

Not having a car has its advantages... I had to take the ferry across the harbor to visit Lisa for coffee.. definitely could be worse.. :)

Lisa discovering the joys of being in public with me and my camera.. :)
